renderwars is a platform for world class 3d artists to create profiles and share their video’s, images and contact information, as well as add metadata and comments to photos. You do not need to be registered to search or view public photos on renderwars, however you must be a registered user of renderwars to post images. renderwars is built for people who enjoy photography and many features are designed to make discovery of new photographers and interesting images easy. By visiting the renderwars website or using any of the online and mobile applications owned by renderwars, you are accepting practices outlined in this policy.

 

Account information

In Profile settings, you can control what information you share with people via your profile, including username and bio. There you can also set default privacy settings for your profile and content.
In your renderwars account, media panel is where you can administer images you upload. You can choose to hide photos from searches on renderwars by deleting them.

 

How is information collected

When you give us permissions to obtain it. When you sign up for or use our products, you voluntarily give us certain information. This can include your name, profile photo, tags, comments, likes, email address you used to sign up, and any other information you provide us. If you’re using renderwars on your mobile device, you can also choose to provide us with location data.

You also may give us permission to automate the posting process by using the feeds from other websites you use to host your work. The information we obtain from those services often depends on your settings or their privacy policies, so be sure to check what those are.

We collect technical information when you use our products. In today’s world, technology based on some non-personal information that almost always gets created and recorded in an automated way often helps websites to analyze their users’ behavior and trends, improve user experience as well as administer the website. When you use our products, we collect such information. The information and ways we may use to collect it described bellow:

Log Data. When you use renderwars, our servers automatically record information about your interaction with our products, including information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website or your mobile app sends when you use it to access renderwars. This data may include your Internet Protocol address, the address of the web page you were visiting before you came to renderwars, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, and how you used renderwars, along with any other data google analytics requires to provide information on site usage.

Cookies. Depending on how you’re accessing our products, we may use HTML, HTTP or Flash “cookies” to identify you and record log data. When we use cookies, we may use “session” cookies (that last until you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser deletes them). For example, we may use cookies to keep you logged in or to store your language preferences or other renderwars settings so you don’t have to set them up every time you visit renderwars.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Device Information. In addition to log data, we may also collect information about the device you’re using renderwars on, including what type of device it is, what operating system you’re using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this information often depends on what type of device you’re using and its settings. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, or an iPhone or an Android phone. How do we use information we collect

How Do We Use Personally Identifiable Information (PII)? We use the PII we request at registration in order to provide you with the services offered on the Site, including media hosting and sharing. Such information maybe be displayed to other users in your User Profile. The User Profile is where you may choose to tell other renderwars users about yourself. You may control what personal information is displayed in your User Profile by visiting the Profile Settings section of your User Profile. Much like other online social networks, renderwars allows non-followers to browse your profile and images.

All information provided by you to renderwars is strictly confidential and we will almost never release any personal information about you without your permission. However, renderwars reserves the right to release your information if you have violated the renderwars Terms of Service, or if required to do so by law.

Do We Use Analytics Companies? We use google analytics.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

If a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, his or her parent or guardian may contact us for the purpose of deleting this information.

Changing Our Policy. This Privacy Policy is subject to change. We will prominently post a notice on the Site when there are material changes in the way we treat PII.
